The single floating collector caught 58-65% of the total elver collected during each of the three time periods assessed, the remainder of the elver were caught via a combination of three conventional pipe traps. Thus, the single Elverator trap outperformed three pipe traps. In addition, the Elverator accommodated a greater range in elver sizes, facilitating increased capture and species diversity.
