anglers
Anglers know and respect the beauty of migratory fish and the journey they go through. Where rivers formerly teemed with salmon and other native fish species making their migratory journeys, climate change and other obstacles have caused runs to decline to levels approaching the unsustainable. Today, there are many angler groups and fish enthusiasts who stand behind efforts to restore fish populations back toward the abundant numbers that once populated the world’s rivers.
In sharing the goal of returning stocks to their historic levels, Whooshh Innovations seeks to work with anglers toward the common goal of restoration. Data is an important part of fisheries decisions and technology can now be an asset in conjunction with the many conservation efforts being made.
Are you working on river basin restoration projects? Involved in fish passage efforts? Working to gather effective data for conservation studies? Whooshh believes in collaboration and seeks partners to promote fish recovery projects, navigate regulatory frameworks, carry out policy advocacy and engage in community fundraising and outreach events– all toward the goal of reversing the impact that climate change and other factors have had on migratory species.
