Letter of Intent Signed for Innovative Fish Guidance Technology.
Seattle, WA, May 30, 2024 – Whooshh Innovations, a leader in fish passage solutions, announced today that it has executed a Letter of Intent to acquire the assets of Natural Solutions…A Dam Site Better! LLC (Natural Solutions), a company that has developed a patented “Flow Velocity Enhancement System” (FVES) for enhancing fish guidance in rivers.
The FVES is a system that creates a natural, directed flow in waterways where the original flow has been interrupted or disrupted by man-made structures, such as dams, weirs, or canals. The FVES uses hydrodynamic principles to generate flow cues that guide fish species to safe passage routes, such as fishways, bypasses, or spillways. The FVES has been tested and proven in numerous field studies, demonstrating significant improvements in fish passage efficiency. Recent tests in France have also shown the FVES to be an effective means of holding small schools of fish where tidal influence results in impingement at cold water intake screens.

The Letter of Intent is subject to customary closing conditions, including due diligence and board approvals. The parties expect to complete the transaction in the summer of 2024.
